Windows2000®
Upgrade Features Powerful Dispatching Module
SIR
Phoenix, Inc announces the release of DRS2000®. This new product upgrades
SIR Phoenixs venerable flagship product, DRS® (originally developed
in Clipper) to Visual Studio 6.0. Developed for the Windows 2000®
operating system, DRS2000® enjoys the benefits of Microsofts
graphical operating system including networking, disk sharing, and printing.
Walt Morgan, head of the project, is excited about DRS2000®. "Many
tank owners want to use the new features, in particular Windows printing.
We selected the Windows 2000® operating system primarily for its stability
and the speed of its kernel. DRS® (a DOS product) has proved itself
over the years, so we believe the marriage of the DRS® processes and
the Windows 2000® operating system will give our clients the best
of all possible worlds."
Walt is also pleased with the new, enhanced dispatching module. "The
dispatching module has been designed from the ground up to provide dispatchers
a flexible, powerful tool to get product to the sites that need it, when
they need it."
DRS2000®
is used for data collection and reporting for both SIR Phoenixs
SIR Services as well as Leoma®, SIR Phoenix's in-house SIR program.
